Our Martial Arts Classes

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a form of ground-art martial arts. Students will learn positions, escapes, grabs, takedowns, falling, controls, and at the older ages, “tap-outs.” These classes focus on learning both the essential mindset and impeccable techniques that make the discipline truly a force to be reckoned with. Open Roll is also offered as a way to implement the new technique in a controlled and supervised session, where they have the opportunity to practice these techniques against a resisting opponent.

Beginner Jiu-Jitsu

Have you ever wanted to try Jiu-Jitsu? Is the cost of a gi (uniform) a worry? This class is for you! Try the no-gi, beginners class with Professor Jake. No uniform necessary. Learn many different movement drills, as well as positions, all while becoming part of the team. A class designed to introduce you to Jiu-Jitsu!

Kid’s Jiu-Jitsu

This jiu-jitsu class is specifically designed for kids ages 5 and above. We will teach and improve on the basic fundamentals of Jiu-Jitsu and help prepare them to join our advanced class.

Karate

Karate is a striking art using punching, kicking, knee strikes, elbow strikes and open hand techniques. These classes consist of a variety of martial arts techniques, including self-defense, sparring, martial arts weapons and forms. You will benefit from an increase in strength, flexibility, cardiovascular endurance, situational awareness, strategic thinking and much, much more. Our classes are broken up by ability level so all students in class are learning the same material.

Beginner classes include new students through Blue Belt.

Advanced classes include Red Belt through Black Belt.

Beginner and Skills Women’s Kickboxing

Be prepared to burn some serious calories and work hard in this kickboxing class. You will work with a partner taking turns striking and pad holding in a different series of drill combinations. This class builds upon itself with commitment and dedication, which will help you learn the drill combinations and take your training to a higher level.

Advanced Women’s Kickboxing

Be prepared to burn some serious calories and work hard in this kickboxing class. You will work with a partner taking turns striking and pad holding in a different series of drill combinations. This class builds upon itself with commitment and dedication, which will help you learn the drill combinations and take your training to a higher level.

Takedown Boxing Academy

Takedown’s Boxing Academy is for ages 8+. No boxing experience is needed, but a commitment level is welcomed.

Thai Boxing

Thai Boxing is a combination of Muay Thai and Boxing, “striking for MMA,” punches, elbows, kicks, and knees all working together. We will also talk about and work on the clinch and takedowns.
